Averitt Express has increased its mileage pay for its veteran truckload drivers, as well as numerous enhancements in accessorial pay for all regional drivers, the company announced.

The global logistics and transportation provider has increased its pay rate to 45 cents per mile for associates with five-plus years of experience. In addition, associates with four to five years of experience will now make 44.5 cents per mile, while associates with three to four years of experience will now make 44 cents per mile.

On top of the pay-rate enhancements, truckload drivers will also enjoy enhanced accessorial pay, including detention, layover, local delivery and stop pay, the company said.

“We are thankful for the efforts of our truckload associates and proud of the way they serve our customers each day,” said Danny Crooks, vice president of corporate transportation. “This is just one of the many ways we are showing them our appreciation.”

Averitt said it also provides numerous Driver Support Centers for its drivers throughout its network. “These centers offer drivers many of the comforts of home such as laundry and exercise machines, big-screen TVs, Wi-Fi Internet access, recliners and more,” according to the company.
