Ancra introduces lighter 7 mm winches

May 1, 2013

Ancra International has introduced a new line of 7 mm winches that is lighter yet maintains the strength of a 9 mm frame.

“Less weight equals more ROI” said Jim Calico, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Ancra’s Cargo Division.  “With a 30% reduction in weight over similar 9mm winches, our new line will be a great addition to our already high quality line of winches and will certainly be appealing to the operator looking to improve fuel efficiency.”

Ancra heat-treated the frame, giving it the strength of a 9 mm winch and maintaining WLL ratings and load capacity, the company said.
