Fleetowner 2819 Phillips Vcheck

Battery status indicator

May 21, 2012

Phillips Industries has released a new 24-volt battery status indicator. The V-Check 1 Battery Status Indicator is also available in a 12-volt version.

The V-Check continuously monitors the power state of any battery, including lift-gate batteries, and flashes red if it is too low.

The device can be used to identify low power situations during pre-trip inspections, allowing operators to charge the battery before it’s needed. If battery voltage is more than 12.4 volts or 75% power, the LED light flashes green but if the voltage falls below 12.39 volts, the light will blink red indicating that batteries should be charged before the trailer leaves on the next trip.
