Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) has increased the prices of its tread rubber products to its franchised dealers up to 6% in North America.

The increase, which is the second price increase this year for Bridgestone Bandag’s products, went into effect on Monday, the company said. BBTS previously increased prices in the United States up to 5% on May 5th.

“The market in 2008 continues to provide us with many challenges that are outside our control, including rising raw material costs and the effects of volatile energy prices on transportation,” said Saul Solomon, president of BBTS.
