Multi Group Logistics has reached agreement with Xtra Lease to lease 250 dry vans with side skirts, low-rolling resistance tires and trailer tracking. Upon delivery of the new trailers, Chicago-based Multi Group will have 700 leased dry vans with side skirts from Xtra Lease, all 2012 and newer models.

Owner Vassil Bayraktarov said the trailers are to meet growing demand and expansion to the West Coast, including California where skirts and low-rolling resistance tires are required to meet California Air Resources Board’s greenhouse gas requirements.

“With a great delivery record of 99.8% on-time, maintaining a young, low-age fleet of tractors and trailers is a must. Newer trailers reduce the chance of service failures and expensive over-the-road repairs,” Bayraktarov said. “I value the flexibility of a lease. I’m able to renew my fleet as business needs and regulations change.”

Multi Group Logistics is a truckload carrier providing asset-based truckload service across the U.S.
