Filter systems prime, transfer and clean fuel

June 4, 2013

Davco Technology has released the Shop Pro FXP and Shop Pro ST, units that are designed to prime heavy-duty engines, transfer fuel from fuel tanks and clean contaminated fuel in a vehicle’s fuel tank.

According to Davco, priming heavy duty diesel engines with high pressure common rail systems can be difficult and time consuming. Using the Shop Pro FXP or ST makes eliminates the need to use a hand pump or maintain reserve fuel for priming in a separate tank. The Shop Pro FXP and ST filters remove contaminated fuel, sediment and water in one operation while transferring fuel or cleaning fuel tanks. This eliminates downtime and saves fuel that would otherwise be discarded.

The Shop Pro FXP (Fuel Exchanger Primer) incorporates the all-in-one Seeing is Believing fuel processor from Davco, multiple fittings/couplers and either a 120VAC (115 GPH) or 12VDC (91 GPH) motor/pump combination. The upright mobile cart is manufactured from square steel tubing to provide a durable, stable frame for continuous operation. It is ideal for use in the shop environment, but can also be utilized remotely if ordered with the 12 VDC motor.

The Shop Pro ST (Service Truck) also incorporates the Seeing is Believing fuel processor, multiple fittings/couplers and a 12VDC (91 GPH) motor/pump combination. The compact, highly mobile cart is manufactured from steel tubing providing a durable, yet easily maneuverable frame at only 54 pounds. It is designed for use servicing heavy duty diesel engines that are “on the road” away from a service center.
