Former trailer sales company becomes M&K Trailer Centers

July 13, 2015

M&K Truck Centers announced it acquired L & V Trailer Sales. According to the company, M&K Truck Centers’ corporate mission is to be recognized as the preferred provider of transportation products and service. This acquisition will help fulfill that mission by allowing M&K to provide one stop shopping for trucks, trailers, leasing, rental, parts and service, the company said.

“M&K brings unique insight and extensive knowledge of the trailer market from serving their transportation customers for over 25 years,” according to the company. “The former L & V staff of 25 employees, including president Rob Velthouse, who will serve as general manager for the newly formed M&K Trailer Centers, join M&K’s team of over 500 employees.”

“This is such a great opportunity for L & V, and I couldn’t imagine a better pairing than L & V and M&K,” Velthouse said. “Everyone at L&V is looking forward to working with the team at M&K, expanding our product offerings and growing the trailer business.”

L & V is an authorized dealer for Wabash National, East, Fontaine and Timpte Trailers. M&K Trailer Centers said it will continue to operate out of L & V’s current location at 2655 Burlingame Avenue in Wyoming, MI.  The president of M&K Truck Centers, Ron Meyering, also plans to explore the opportunities to expand the trailer business across the Midwest.

“It’s an exciting time for the industry and I believe acquiring L & V is a strategic move for enormous growth potential at M&K,” Meyering said. “These two companies are aligned to provide a comprehensive collection of top quality products, parts and service for our customers.”

As a medium- and heavy-duty dealer of Mack, Volvo, Hino, and Isuzu trucks, M&K also sells used trucks of all makes and stocks a vast inventory of OEM and aftermarket parts. In addition to leasing services and as a member of NationaLease, financing options are available as well. M&K provides trusted and reliable service and repair on all makes and models at their facilities.
