Hino shows off “double cab” at NTEA

March 8, 2013

Toyota’s Hino Trucks division showed off its new “double cab” option for its Model 195 Class 5 medium duty chassis at the National Truck Equipment Association’s 2013 Work Truck Show this week in Indianapolis.

The OEM added that its “double cab” option is a new enhancement for the 2014 model year for both its diesel-only model 195DC and diesel-electric hybrid model 195h-DC and will arrive at Hino dealers June 2013.  Situated on a 19,500 lb. GVW chassis, the four-door, six person “double cab” can also be spec’d with an optional magnetic suspension, the manufacturer said.

“The double cab is an exciting addition to our expanding product line and a perfect fit for a wide range of applications such as landscape, towing, moving, storage and construction,” noted Glenn Ellis, Hino’s vp-marketing and dealer operations, pointing out that the cab can accommodate drivers up to 6-ft. 6-in. in height.

“With a variety of cab options and chassis configurations, Hino’s cab-over is the practical choice for the urban operator and his team,” he said.
