Hunt Transportation inducted five new members of the flatbed truck driver base into the Patriot Fleet, the company announced. Hunt Transportation, an operating division of Crete Carrier Corporation, has added five new trucks to the fleet. With the addition of these trucks, the Patriot Fleet now consists of a total 20 trucks.“The Patriot Fleet trucks represent all of the veterans that have served and sacrificed for our freedoms, past and present,” the company said. “Hunt Transportation is honored to have added the Patriot Fleet trucks to the fleet and proudly represent America’s heroes.”As part of this celebration, Crete Carrier gave keys to new Freightliner Cascadia trucks to five well-deserving company drivers who are veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Special guest speaker John McNally, Deputy Veteran Affairs, thanked all members of the service, and reminded all in attendance of the important duties our military men and women provide.“Putting together an event like this is especially important for our company. This represents our focus on building a solid program for our military veterans as they transition back to civilian life” said Mark Swanson, president of Hunt. “It was incredible and an honor to recognize them for all of the hard work and dedication they put forth for our country. We continue to grow our military veteran driver base by marketing these opportunities on www.wehireveterans.com.”Together, Crete Carrier, Shaffer Trucking and Hunt Transportation have received numerous awards as a national leader in supporting current and former members of the military, Hunt said.
