Kenworth of Buffalo acquires dealership, changes name

Nov. 26, 2012

Kenworth of Buffalo has purchased a dealership in Stoughton, MA, and made a name change for its five-dealer organization as well. The company, with headquarters in Buffalo, NY, will now be known as the Kenworth Northeast Group.

Along with the Stoughton dealership, the company also purchased territorial rights for Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island from Tri-State Kenworth in Enfield, CT. The Kenworth Northeast Group operates the following full-service facilities: Kenworth of Albany, Kenworth of Buffalo, Kenworth of Rochester, and Kenworth of Syracuse in New York state, and Kenworth of Boston in Massachusetts.

“The Kenworth Northeast Group is dedicated to providing customers with Kenworth’s excellent heavy and medium duty trucks along with outstanding support,” said Dennis Dintino, president of Kenworth Northeast Group. “We’re pleased to increase customer support with the addition of Kenworth of Boston to join our four excellent dealerships in the state of New York. We plan to deepen our market penetration and expand market share through the growth of existing operations and the pursuit of new opportunities in Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.”

The dealer group was one of just five 2010 Kenworth Gold Award winners in the United States and Canada. The Kenworth Gold Award recognizes top-performing Kenworth dealerships that have excelled well beyond industry expectations. In October, the dealer group received a Kenworth Silver Award for 2011 parts and service excellence.
