Kenworth Truck Company has announced its new lightweight aluminum hub and Splined Disc rotor package as a front and rear axle option on its Class 8 tractors equipped with Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes.

“Kenworth’s addition of this lightweight option will benefit on-highway and vocational customers who demand weight-saving components and are interested in an efficient braking package that requires lower operating costs,” said Jeff Sass, Kenworth director or marketing planning and research.

The lightweight air disc can save as much as 35 pounds per wheel end, the company said, as well as adding longevity to the brake components.
