Maxon Lift Corp. has introduced the GPSLR liftgate, a slide-type liftgate the company said rides level from bed to ground, with a unique SmartStow function that allows the gate to automatically slow.

According to Maxon, the SmartStow technology automates the detection of the correct height, secure stowing, and locking in place for the liftgate, eliminating the need for multiple steps when storing the gate.

The liftgate works with various types of rear doors and is securely stowed away during dock loading operation, the company said, and features a stress-optimized lift arm design that reduces arm deflection.
