Bostrom Seating is introducing a new driver’s seat for trucks called the T-Series Plus, designed in part from extensive feedback of both truck drivers and fleet managers.

“Before we designed the T-Series Plus we surveyed fleets and professional drivers from across the country and compiled information on the physical characteristics and features that were important to them,” explained Joel Mow, Bostrom vp & gm. “We engineered it with one goal in mind – to take our … seats to a higher level and create one further focused on driver comfort and safety.”

Bostrom, a division of Evansville, IN-based Accuride Corp., said the T-Series Plus was ergonomically designed and tested for increased comfort and durability. The seat’s standard cushion extension offers a five-position adjustment that is independent from the seat tilt adjustment and can be operated while occupied. It also features a taller back for additional neck support, affording the driver added comfort and safety.

For added convenience, the cushion and backrest can be serviced independently and an optional stowable armrest can be specified, Mow said. Available for both driver and passenger seat in-board applications, the seat’s armrest can be lifted and stored behind the seat for easier access to the sleeper.
