Remy International has improved its online product cross-reference system so that it includes part numbers for all Delco Remy heavy-duty starter and alternator models ever produced, according to the company. The online tool also has the ability to cross a comprehensive list of competitive part numbers to Delco Remy models.

The new system was designed to be fast, accurate and easy to use, said Remy. It offers a variety of replacement-model options including upgrades. Special service notes are provided to ensure product installation ease and Delco Remy product literature, service parts lists and installation instructions are offered as links for additional customer support.

“Being an aftermarket leader means keeping a constant pulse on the needs of our customers,” said Eric Bippus, senior vp-aftermarket sales and marketing. “The introduction of this cross-reference is just the beginning of new and improved tools you will see coming from us in the months ahead.”

According to Remy it also recently launched a company-wide reorganization titled “The Power of One” that consolidates its global aftermarket operations into a single-source, customer-driven supply channel for light-, medium- and heavy-duty rotating electrics. “Our goal is to deliver a best-in-class aftermarket portfolio of products featuring the latest technology and to provide the most advanced industry support,” Bippus noted.
