GM website touts gas engines

General Motors Fleet & Commercial Division has launched www.whygas.com, a new dealer and customer website. The website offers a savings calculator that shows exactly how much money a customer can save with a gas engine versus a diesel engine.

General Motors Fleet & Commercial Division has launched www.whygas.com, a new dealer and customer website. The website offers a savings calculator that shows exactly how much money a customer can save with a gas engine versus a diesel engine.

“The Vortec 8.1-liter V8 gas engine will be an attractive choice for customers this year,” said GM communications manager Rob Minton. “New 2007 EPA standards have made diesel engines more expensive than gasoline engines— often thousands of dollars more costly.”

The site also includes other information on gas engine advantages, 2007 diesel standards and the rest of GM’s lineup of medium-duty engines.
