Now available on Kenworth’s website (www.kenworth.com), the Clean Power calculator provides fleets with estimated savings they can achieve using the OEM’s proprietary no-idle system.

According to KW, the easy-to-use calculator shows the difference between Kenworth Clean Power and idling a truck’s engine to provide normal hotel loads, including heating, cooling and 120-volt power.

To calculate the annual percentage and dollar savings with Clean Power, simply fill in a truck’s annual fuel use on the worksheet provided at the web site, along with fuel cost per gallon, annual non-working idling hours, and estimated percentage of the year spent idling for driver comfort.
