Michelin Retread Technologies has enhanced its offerings for refuse and other high-scrub and regional applications

Michelin Retread Technologies has enhanced its offerings for refuse and other high-scrub and regional applications. The new X One wide XZU S Pre-Mold Retread provides benefits of both a retread and a wide single tire, Michelin said.

The XZU is available as a pre-mold retread in a 390 mm tread base width with a 430 mm wing tip to wing tip overall width. With 23/32 in. in original tread depth, the retread is intended to offer long tread life and scrub resistance using Michelin’s Co-Ex technology, a two-layer compound designed to minimize casing temperature.

Variable pitch groove walls and groove bottom protectors in all grooves offer enhanced protection against stone drilling, according to Michelin. The tire offers all-weather traction.
