To help prevent over-torque damage, Sonnax Industries has created the Power Train Savers drivetrain protection device.

According to Sonnax, installation of the device protects a drivetrain from over-torque damage that can destroy differentials, gears, axles and driveshafts. The Savers feature patented Torque Fuses that shear off if over-torque occurs. With the driveshaft remaining in place, repairs are as simple as replacing the Torque Fuses, the company said.

Damage is oftentimes the result of fleet vehicles that experience over-torque and drivetrain damage resulting from heavy loads on rough, uneven and slippery terrain.
