During an awards ceremony in Savannah, GA, Pressure Systems International (PSI) presented Great Dane Trailers with its 2006 Customer Excellence Award. PSI chose the Great Dane for this award based on the trailer manufacturer’s contribution to making the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI (MTIS) the most widely used tire inflation system in the world.

Great Dane, which offers MTIS as an optional automatic tire inflation system for its new trailer products, began promotions in 2006 that make the MTIS specification attractive to customers. As a result, MTIS by PSI has garnered 20% of all new Great Dane trailers produced to date in 2007.

Tim Musgrave, president and CEO of PSI, expressed the appreciation of PSI to Great Dane. “To have a company with the quality reputation of Great Dane selecting MTIS as a preferred spec for their trailers is an outstanding achievement for us and we are confident this relationship brings benefits to them as well,” he said.

Great Dane’s vp of dealer sales, Chris Hammond, commented, “The factory and sales support provided by PSI has made this an easy product to install and sell. They are a quality company and they have the kind of people we enjoy partnering with.”
