SAF-Holland has added two lines of landing gear products to go alongside its flagship Mark V Series. The company said the new Atlas and Classic series will provide additional options when spec’ing landing gear.

“Acquisitions and product line extensions over a long period of time produced a redundant landing gear portfolio that generated confusion in the market,” said Sam Martin, COO. “We have now integrated these global technologies into a restructured product lineup that better serves our customers with a more defined offering.”

Both new lines boast features and technologies incorporated from former Binkley, Austin-Westran and Holland products.

All Atlas models feature a three-gear constant mesh gearbox as well as a FloatingNut and twin-bulkhead design for durability. The Atlas 55, the first release in the line, offers a 170,000-lb load capacity, a 30,000-lb side-load capacity and a 55,000-lb lift capacity. The next generation, the Atlas 65, will be released in early 2011 with improved load capacities.

The Classic Series offers many of the same features as the Atlas but with a more cost-effective two-shaft constant mesh gearbox and lower capacity ratings of 140,000-lb load capacity, 27,000-lb side-load capacity and 39,000-lb lift capacity.
