Travel plaza and convenience store operator WilcoHess has signed an agreement to sell TerraCair diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to customers at the fuel island as well as inside the stores.

“We at WilcoHess are committed to our customers by delivering quality, value and service for their petroleum and complementary product needs,” said Steve Williams, president & CEO. “TerraCair fits well into our model and is the brand that has been chosen by leading truck manufacturers for their factory fill and aftermarket needs. That was important to us. We would not sell it to our customers if we were not confident in its quality. In fact, WilcoHess will use TerraCair in its own fleet of trucks.”

TerraCair is produced by Terra Environmental Technologies (TET). DEF will be sold at the pump and in packaged containers inside the stores, Wilcohess said.

“TET is pleased to be chosen by WilcoHess as its long-term supplier of diesel exhaust fluid,” said Barry Lonsdale, TET president. “A singular focus on quality is a hallmark for both companies. We appreciate WilcoHess’ recognition that TET has made that commitment. TET has the flexibility to ensure quality and supply by sourcing TerraCair from a number of CF Industries’ seven North American nitrogen product manufacturing facilities. As the DEF market demand grows, TET will have the production capacity to supply WilcoHess and the trucking industry with TerraCair.”

WilcoHess operates more than 400 stores and restaurants in the southeastern U.S. It is a joint venture of A.T. Williams Oil Co. and Hess Corp. and the 2005 merger with Trade Oil Co.
