The Boler Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire truck and trailer suspension manufacturer Watson and Chalin Manufacturing, Inc. Watson and Chalin will continue under the existing management of Don Watson and Tom Chalin as a standalone company under The Boler Company organization.
Cole Hersee is offering a new low voltage disconnect (LVD) switch that automatically disconnects non-critical loads when the battery drops beneath a pre-determined threshold. Petro-Canada recently introduced DURON-E synthetic 0W-40, part of its next-generation heavy-duty engine oil line. Formulated for use in on/off-road applications under severe cold conditions, the oil can be used for '07 and pre-'07 engines.
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced that its Fuel Max Technology tires and DuraSeal mixed-service tires have been approved for spec'ing on all International trucks. The Fuel Max tires are already standard equipment on the OEM's ProStar tractors.
Kenworth Class 8 tractors equipped with Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes are now available with a lightweight aluminum hub and splined disc rotor package as a front and rear axle option. According to the OEM, the lightweight air disc can save as much as 35 lb. per wheel end.
China Manufacturers Alliance, LLC and Double Coin have purchased their first North American distribution facility, scheduled to open in late 2007. Located in Memphis, the center will distribute Double Coin truck, bus and off- road radial tires, as well as serve as a warehouse for products.
