No-idle HVAC for sleepers

Dometic Corp. has partnered with Canadian firm Mechron Power Systems to offer a year-round cooling and heating system for sleeper cabs that eliminates the need to idle the main engine. Dometic will supply the auxiliary HVAC units to Mechron, which will then integrate them into an auxiliary air conditioning and power generator marketed by Mechron under the CCS Lightning brand name. Dometic Corp. has partnered with Canadian firm Mechron Power Systems to offer a year-round cooling and heating system for sleeper cabs that eliminates the need to idle the main engine.

Dometic will supply the auxiliary HVAC units to Mechron, which will then integrate them into an auxiliary air conditioning and power generator marketed by Mechron under the CCS Lightning brand name.

Dometic's split-gas air conditioning systems come in 10,000 and 14,000 Btu capacities. The condensing unit is mounted outside the sleeper, while the cooling/heating unit fits inside. www.dometicusa.com
