UltraShift gets park pawl option

Eaton Corp.'s UltraShift HV (highway value) medium-duty transmissions are now available with a park pawl option that securely locks the transmission to ensure the vehicle remains stationary when parked. The park pawl option is available for Class 6 vehicles with gross commercial weight (GCW) ratings up to 26,000 lb., and requires an OEM-supplied shifter to replace the standard pushbutton shift console.

The park pawl option is available for Class 6 vehicles with gross commercial weight (GCW) ratings up to 26,000 lb., and requires an OEM-supplied shifter to replace the standard pushbutton shift console.

“The UltraShift HV models with park pawl have been designed to deliver additional safety features, along with fuel savings and reduced maintenance features already found in the standard UltraShift HV units,” says Bill Gross, product manager for Eaton's medium-duty transmissions.
