Old Dominion relocates Virginia service center

Oct. 1, 2013

Old Dominion Freight Line has relocated its Wytheville Service Center to a larger facility. The facility, which employs 12, provides less-than-truckload and logistics services, including pickup-and-delivery, to Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.

The service center also serves as an important turn-point location for Old Dominion’s linehaul operations.

The center is located at the junction of Interstates 81 and 77 in Southwest Virginia. It has 14 doors.

“We’re thrilled to expand in Wythe County, an area that continues to demonstrate incredible economic potential,” said Trent Yates, manager of the Wytheville Service Center. “The additional space will increase our productivity, enable future growth in the region and ensure that we continue to provide our customers with the premium service they expect.”

The Wytheville facility’s service area includes Pulaski, Bluefield, Tazewell, Richlands, Marion, Galax, Dublin in Virginia; McDowell, Mercer and Wyoming Counties in West Virginia; and Sparta, N.C.
