Phillips Industries adds sales managers

June 4, 2012

Phillips Industries has hired three new territory sales managers as it continues to expand it sales and technical support team. Joining Phillips as territory sales managers are Nick Chelman in the Southeast, Thomas Lewis in the South Atlantic region and Kent Crymes in the Southern region.

Chelman was most recently with Kelly Tractor Co., Miami, FL, serving as hydraulic cylinder/track rebuild shop supervisor. Previously, he worked for MHC Kenworth in Dallas, TX, in both inside and outside part sales to fleet customers.

Lewis joins Phillips from Great Dane Trailers, where he held the position of national account manager in the Charlotte, NC, area.

Crymes most recently worked in sales and customer service in the financial services and health care industries.

“One of our most important goals over the last couple of years has been to increase the number of people in the field calling on both fleets and our distributors,” said Randy Walker, director of aftermarket sales.

“Our company and our products are well thought of in the industry,” he continued, “but we knew we needed more people with direct contact with our customers in order to give them the best service available.  We have been working diligently to fill that need.”
