Innovative Products of America (IPA) has introduced a new trailer tester that can test lights and brakes on the trailer even when it is not attached to a tractor.
The #9102 Heavy Ranger MUTT (Mobile Universal Trailer Tester) is a portable and lightweight solution designed to simulate all electrical circuits while providing short protection on industry standard pin configurations. It is compatible with 7-way round pin connection types.
“The Ranger MUTT provides an efficient and professional method for inspecting a trailer prior to hook up and the purchase price is less than one ticket for malfunctioning trailer lights,” said Dan Engelsen, technical expert at IPA.
The unit features an external power accessory port and internal battery compartment that uses common motorcycle-type batteries. It comes with a battery charger.
