Vibration monitor

April 4, 2013

A new vibration monitor from Quality Bearings & Components (QBC) can check vibration levels on fans, motors, pumps, compressors and other types of rotating process machinery, the company said. By checking vibration, technicians can possibly identify problems before damage is done to the equipment.

The BETEX professional VibChecker monitoring meter is a light and compact tool designed for quick and accurate vibration surveys. The meter, identified as model TB-C780201, provides portable and user-friendly vibration measurement in the 10-1000 Hz frequency range, the company said.

Measurement results are immediately and automatically evaluated against ISO standards. Green - yellow - red LEDs indicate vibration severity and a real-time FFT spectrum is produced for easy pattern recognition. Results can be stored for documentation and follow-up.
