Bay & Bay Transportation bumps up driver pay

May 14, 2015

For the second time this year, Bay & Bay Transportation has announced a pay increase for its drivers.

The Minnesota-based company, which was named a Truckload Carriers Assn. and Carriers Edge 2015 Best Fleets to Drive For winner, is now setting driver base pay in a range of 41 to 45 cents per mile, depending on tenure. Company drivers will also be able to earn an additional 1-4 cents per mile in bonuses, depending on experience.

Bay & Bay offers refrigerated, dry van, dry tank, flatbed/specialty, intermodal and less than truckload (LTL) services with a driver force that includes company, lease and owner-operators. The fleet offers a $0-down lease purchase program and an average of 2,500-3,300 miles per week, in-cab scanning and state-of-the-art equipment, it said.
