Bendix names director of fleet sales

March 1, 2012

Todd Swales has been named director of fleet sales for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems. Swales will oversee fleet customer accounts and be responsible for introducing them to new Bendix products and modifications to existing products.

“By creating the director of fleet sales position, we are renewing and increasing our focus to serve the needs of our fleet customers, as well as establishing a ‘voice of the customer’ within Bendix,” said Bendix president & CEO Joe McAleese. “Relationships with our fleet customers go beyond helping them improve vehicle safety. By understanding each organization’s specific business needs and concerns, Bendix helps its customers build safer and better performing fleets – spurring industry improvement and creating safer highways.”

Swales will also be responsible for all fleet business activities, including purchasing, maintenance, finance, and warranty and customer service.

Prior to joining Bendix, Swales spent nine years at Meritor, most recently serving as manager of field sales and service for Meritor Wabco.
