Bergstrom appoints new aftermarket purchasing manager

Brian Kennedy has been hired as the new aftermarket purchasing manager at Bergstrom Inc.
Brian Kennedy has been hired as the new aftermarket purchasing manager at Bergstrom Inc. According to the company, in his new role, Kennedy will be responsible for directing the purchasing of parts and supplies to further develop and grow the aftermarket division of Bergstrom in support of an increasing customer base.“Brian’s wealth of experience with the HVAC industry and in the purchasing field will come as a great asset to Bergstrom as we continue to expand our aftermarket business,” said Bill Gordon, division president of Bergstrom Parts. “We’re very fortunate to have someone of Brian’s caliber to fulfill this key role on the Bergstrom team.”Kennedy comes to Bergstrom with aftermarket experience and demonstrated success in supporting corporate purchasing objectives, the company added. He began his career at the ground level of purchasing and inventory control and has been involved in some facet of those departments ever since. He previously worked as a director of purchasing and product development for Dallas-based Omega Environmental Technologies, which distributes aftermarket automotive, heavy duty truck, off-road, bus and agricultural air conditioning products. While at Omega he was instrumental in changing their market strategy from primarily export sales to domestic sales, the company noted.
