Fostering logistics leadership in the military

When freight transportation and logistics companies wonder where their future leaders will come from, they may need to look no further than the U.S. military. A recent overview of the 16th Sustainment Brigade's support of combat-ready units involved in Operation Atlantic Resolve in Eastern Europe provides a bird's eye glimpse of the kinds of "real world" logistical leadership training being provided to U.S. Army NCOs and junior officers alike: negotiating border crossings for convoys and quickly establishing multiple distribution centers in various countries.
