Hadley appointed Thomas J. Bronz as president and chief executive officer effective June 1, following the retirement of Robert F. Dubsky. The announcement was made by John W. Humphrey, chairman and a principal of Humphrey Companies, parent company of Hadley. “The Hadley team has profound gratitude for Bob’s exceptional leadership during the past 20 years,” Humphrey said. “Bob led by example to deliver exceptional experiences that exceed the expectations of our customers and help grow our business. It’s with great affection that we congratulate Bob on his retirement.”“The strength of Bob’s character and commitment to Hadley was evident as he sought and obtained a qualified successor in Tom,” Humphrey continued. “Tom brings with him extensive experience in general management, strategic planning, product planning, and business development. He has shown that he has the strategic vision needed to ensure Hadley’s success in the commercial vehicle products marketplace.”Bronz has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, most recently serving as president of Tramec Sloan, a supplier to the heavy-duty truck and trailer OEMs and aftermarket, the company said. Prior to achievements at Tramec Sloan, Bronz held roles of increasing responsibility with global suppliers including Brunswick and Haldex, according to Hadley.“Tom’s industry knowledge, management skills and leadership abilities will be of tremendous value to Hadley in the coming years,” Dubsky said. “I’m confident that Hadley has chosen the ideal candidate for continued success.”Dubsky has been with Hadley since 1994 when he was hired as vice president of sales and marketing. At the time, Hadley manufactured air horns, mini compressors and mechanical leveling valves for air suspensions on Class 8 vehicles. Under his leadership, annual revenue grew seven-fold with the product lines expanding to include mirror systems, electronic height control systems (SAMS & SmartValve), and Interior systems for transit vehicles, motor coach buses and light rail, Hadley said. Dubsky will remain involved with Hadley in an active president emeritus role with defined responsibilities providing support to strengthen Hadley’s customer relationships on the West Coast, Europe, and in the Aftermarket Distribution Channel. “Bob’s accomplishments with Hadley go well beyond revenue numbers,” Humphrey said. “He fostered the pioneering spirit and talents of our teams, leading to the development of innovative technologies and ‘Smart’ products.”
