Haldex relocates friction center

Feb. 6, 2012

Haldex is moving its Pennsylvania friction center to a facility with increased production capacity, the company said. Currently located in Harrisburg, PA, the friction center will move to Middletown, PA, to a site three miles off the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Utilizing a new layout that Haldex said will optimize the process flow, the new facility will include a specialized transit shoe production cell.

There will also be an upgraded training room with a complete air brake system display board and wheel-end stand for foundation brake training.

Haldex produces remanufactured brake shoes, new brake shoes and brake linings from its friction center.
