LAS VEGAS. Users of the PrePass weigh station bypass system are being offered a new business intelligence tool that lets them gain detailed, customized views of the data impacting their Inspection Selection System (ISS) and CSA Basics scores. HELP Inc., the public/private non-profit partnership that provides PrePass, announced at the new data tool called InfoRM will be offered free of charge to all fleets subscribing to PrePass.
The web-based tool allows fleets to access critical safety data and then choose to analyze it on national, regional and local levels to identify the key factors driving those scores, according to Mark Doughty, HELP VP and COO. Speaking at a press conference during the American Trucking Assns. annual management conference, Doughty said the tool was even capable of filtering that information by toll and freight corridors right down to individual weigh facilities.
InfoRM’s web dashboard interface provides an interactive map of a fleet’s truck inspection results and violations over any timeframe specified. It can help them pinpoint issues that adversely impact their ISS in ways that prevent them from automatically bypassing weigh facilities. It can also provide interactive timeline trends for both CSA Basics and ISS data on a timely basis, furthering fleet analysis of their safety performance.
The new toll is currently offered on a limited basis and is scheduled for full rollout to all subscribers in Q1 of 2017.
The database feeding InfoRM is compiled from the CVIEW/SAFER carrier record maintained by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, which is augmented by information from over 100 other state sources, according to Doughty.
HELP’s PrePass currently operates in 32 states with over 300 fixed weigh facilities. More than 51,000 fleets operating over 550,000 trucks currently subscribe to automated bypass and tolling service.
