Summit Holdings has acquired Truck Center, a commercial truck and IC Bus dealership in Mississippi. Summit is a holding company formed by the merger of Diamond Companies and Roberts Truck Center dealerships.
Truck Center is located in Tupelo with an additional location in Pontotoc.
With the addition of Truck Center, Inc., Summit Holdings now operates 31 locations in eight states: Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
“This is the first acquisition for Summit Holdings and it is part of our long-term growth strategy,” said Blair Roberts, CEO of Summit Holdings. “Truck Center, Inc. is a well-respected organization in both the commercial truck industry and the Tupelo and Pontotoc communities.”
The company represents International, IC Bus, and Ford commercial vehicles and Idealease lease and rental services.
As locations of Summit Truck Group, the Tupelo and Pontotoc locations will do business as Summit Truck Group of Tupelo. Glynn Franklin, former CFO of Truck Center, Inc., will serve as the general manager for the two Mississippi locations.
