Sylectus rolls out new web-based dashboard

Feb. 13, 2012

Kissimmee, FL. Here at its annual annual conference  this weekend, Sylectus, a strategic business unit of Qualcomm Enterprise Services, debuted its new SylectDash, a web-based dashboard solution for real-time access to mission critical information for fleet management. Sylectus said that “leveraging this powerful ‘anytime, anywhere’ toolset, customers can access fleet information to make timely business decisions, creating a competitive market advantage along with increased time- and cost-savings across operations.”

According to Sylectus, it provides web-based transportation management software (TMS) that allows competing companies to collaborate and share resources within an integrated network, which enables member firms to take on bigger jobs, streamline operations and increase profitability.  The operation considers its offering to be trucking’s most powerful such network and, as such, “offers flexible options to meet exact customer needs, ranging from a simple community loadboard for sharing trucks and loads to a comprehensive TMS solution that includes dispatch, rating, billing, driver settlements and reporting. Integrated with many leading technologies, Sylectus noted it also provides TMS for private fleets and private fleet networks.
Designed for fleet managers with up to 400 trucks, SylectDash offers these features, said Sylectus:

  • Web-based dashboard. Streamlines quick-and-easy, near real-time access, allowing customers to tap into mission-critical information for timely decision-making, ultimately helping sustain successful business operations.
  • Visually powerful presentation instruments. Month-to-month gross margin, predictive sensitivity analysis reports and more allow fleet managers to maximize profitability and fleet utilization by providing meaningful, easy-to-grasp, near real-time representations of what is actually happening with all aspects of their operations.
  • Event forecasting/analysis. Simulates future events with real-time “what if” scenarios to  improve tactical and strategic planning, by equipping fleet managers with the tools to better anticipate and execute against events that could pose potential threats to business operations

“Through close collaboration with our network of customers, we developed a web-based dashboard that delivers accurate information to the right hands, removing previous workflow barriers,” said Stuart Sutton, senior director at Qualcomm Enterprise Services and general manager of Sylectus.

“Today’s fleet managers face evolving business needs; as such, the ability to anticipate future events and adapt accordingly affords unique market agility and the flexibility to avoid scenarios that previously derailed operations,” he continued. “With SylectDash, fleet managers can make smarter business decisions that not only attract new opportunities for financial success, but also ensure ‘staying power’ within the larger transportation industry.”

SylectDash is an optional module of the Sylectus Transportation Management Software (TMS) and is available for purchase on Sylectus’ website

“SylectDash provides the real-time business intelligence our team needs to effectively monitor and improve performance throughout the entire organization,” said Sylectus customer Chuck King, president of logistics for Bolt Express, LLC, by way of review. “With this dashboard, we spend less time running reports and analyzing data, which saves us valuable time and allows us to better serve our customers.”

The Sylectus Annual Conference was held Feb. 10-12 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. During the two-day symposium, fleet industry thought leaders presented information on best practices, innovations and strategies to improve business operations.
