Transportation industry veteran to oversee development of marketing programs for TMW’s transportation and logistics operations

Caroline Lyle, a marketing and business development executive with extensive transportation industry experience, has been appointed vice president of marketing for TMW Systems, the company announced.

According to the company, Lyle will oversee all marketing and communications programs designed to support the company’s growing portfolio of transportation management, asset maintenance, last-mile delivery, and business intelligence solutions and related products and services for for-hire and private fleets, brokers, 3PLs, and heavy-duty repair centers. She will report to TMW Executive Vice President Scott Vanselous.

“Caroline has deep insight into the competitive demands facing transportation businesses of all types and sizes,” TMW President Dave Wangler said. “Her background and strategic marketing skills will be invaluable in helping us connect with new and existing customers who understand the vital role technology can play in realizing their business objectives.”

Lyle joins TMW from her role as president and CEO of Torque Marketing Group, a Birmingham, AL-based marketing, public relations and social media firm serving a variety of transportation industry suppliers. She also has experience in the technology category, having served as director of marketing and, later, director of business development for an industry solutions provider. She is a member of the Truckload Carriers Association Health & Wellness Committee and Women in Trucking.

“Technology is revolutionizing the transportation industry, and it has never been more important for fleets and non-asset businesses to make the right investments at the right time,” Lyle said. “Our marketing programs and related activities will above all help transportation professionals gain a clear understanding of how TMW solutions can make their businesses more competitive across virtually every area of their enterprise.”

Prior to entering the transportation industry eight years ago, Lyle was vice president of sales and marketing for a high-end B2B/B2C tour operator. She also served in a series of marketing management positions with Alabama-based financial services and healthcare firms, TMW said.
