Toll road in Southern California to close for movie shoot

Oct. 18, 2012

The California Dept. of Transportation (CalTrans) has announced the closure of the 73 toll road between the I-405 and Jamboree Road in Orange County, CA, on Oct. 20 and 21 for production of the Warner Bros. film “The Hangover Part 3.”

The closure begins at 5 a.m. Saturday Oct. 20.

The closure sparked upset at least one local politician who charged the closure will impact businesses. However, the county’s film commission said it will help stimulate the local economy, according to an Orange County Register report.

The closure is being coordinated with the cities of Irvine, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.
