Transplace promotes Frank McGuigan

Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, has announced the promotion of Frank McGuigan to executive vice president, operations. McGuigan joined Transplace in April 2011 when the company acquired SCO Logistics, where he was president and CEO.

Most recently, McGuigan was senior vice president of contract logistics for Transplace.

“Frank complements Transplace’s strong capabilities in operations and supply chain management, and his strong leadership enhances our executive team in a time of record growth and profits. His promotion continues the expectation for even greater success and market share across North America,” said Transplace president George Abernathy. “Since Frank joined Transplace, he has successfully integrated the SCO Logistics’ office operations and customers into Transplace’s service and technology platforms, while increasing our contract logistics business and growing our organization. With the success that Transplace has experienced from Frank’s leadership, I am pleased to have him join the executive team where the company can fully employ the skills and talent he has to offer.”

McGuigan brings more than 20 years of logistics experience in executive leadership, sales and operations to Transplace. He currently has profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for all of Transplace’s third-party logistics and software as a service (SaaS) customer relationships.
