May 10, 2013

Urgent Care Travel (UCT) has opened the first of 100 locations inside the Pilot Travel Center in Knoxville, TN. The company plans to open a second location in Oklahoma City, OK, on June 5, with at least five more sites to open by the end of the year.

The rollout is part of a plan to open 100 locations by the end of 2016.

UCT is jointly owned by Urgent Care America and J & S Capital. Urgent Care America is a provider of urgent care management services with a wide variety of supporting services specializing in urgent care.

“The Knoxville site serves not only professional drivers but travelers, local businesses and nearby residents of the site,” said Urgent Care Travel CEO Tony Barber. “In the opening days, we have seen patients from all of these venues who are all very excited to have these services available in such a convenient manner.”

Bob Perry, founder of Rolling Strong, will function as the Chief Development Officer for UCT.

“I’m pleased to be part of this great initiative and taking further steps to bring quality health and medical care to professional drivers where they work and live – on the road,” Perry said.
