Diesel may flow in every trucker's veins but the fuel that really drives trucking success is innovation. That's why the third annual FLEET OWNER Fleet of the Year Awards honor fleets — one each from the ranks of the for-hire, private, and vocational segments — hand-picked by the editors for public recognition as exemplars of excellence in innovative management.

The Fleet of the Year Awards recognize achievements that unequivocally place excellence in management above all other criteria. The editors spend the calendar year searching out potential candidates as they research assignments and cover trucking events, shows and conferences. The editors then confer and determine which operations will be named winners of our Fleet of the Year Awards.

Though the operating challenges facing for-hire, private and vocational fleets do vary, our honorees all share the common attribute we salute with FLEET OWNER's Fleet of the Year Awards — significant innovation in truck fleet management.
