Chevin Fleet Solutions said that the state of Connecticut is deploying its technology within its Fleet Operations Division, which oversees vehicles and related services for 70 state agencies and universities in the state.
Connecticut’s deployment of FleetWave will cover more than 7,000 vehicles. According to Chevin, the state will utilize the solution to assist in the following services:
- Vehicle Procurement, delivery and disposal
- Internal Service Fund billing
- Maintenance and repair services
- Fuel management and support through 60 DOT fueling sites
- Daily rental and mileage reporting
FleetWave is a flexible and scalable solution and will replace Connecticut’s non-integrated systems. Once fully installed, the system will offer a holistic view of all fleet-related information in a single centralized system, regardless of the location of the agency, allowing the organization to improve fleet utilization and reduce operating costs.
“The State of Connecticut provides a wide range of essential services to almost 4 million residents, businesses and visitors. Many of these services would be impossible to conduct without the support of the Fleet Operations Division,” said Ron Katz, senior vice president of North American sales for Chevin. “That’s why insuring fleet operations are as effective and efficient as possible in order to continually reduce cost, promote safety, compliance and high standards of service delivery to its citizens. Embracing technology to support these objectives by implementing FleetWave will put the state of Connecticut at the forefront of innovation for government fleet management organizations.”
