A new dispensing unit ensures the safe transfer of urea, or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), from dispenser to vehicle. Posi/Lock Blue, a spill-free dispenser from Emco Wheaton, includes an automatic shut-off using vacuum technology that fills the tank to at least 90% of its capacity while allowing the operator to focus on other duties during the filling process.

Emco Wheaton manufacturers auto shut-off refueling systems.

Posi/Lock Blue is a smaller version of the company’s popular Posi/Lock system, which prevents accidental spillage during the fueling process. Posi/Lock Blue connects to existing Posi/Lock 105 adapters or any other refueling systems on the market, the company said.

By using the Posi/Lock Blue system, operators prevent the exposure of urea to air, which can cause vaporization and ammonia crystals to form.
