Valvoline's Fuel Proof Guarantee program has been expanded to include any fleet with an existing telematics provider. Valvoline said fleets are guaranteed at least a 1.6% percent mpg gain if they use Valvoline heavy- duty motor oil and gear lubricant, and up to a 4% mpg benefit if they also use tiwiPro.
The oil company noted that transportation insurance specialist Brazos Specialty Risk can reduce auto liability premiums by up to 15%for fleet customers using an existing telematics unit, and that new partner Mansfield Oil delivers additional savings on bulk fuel purchasing.
Valvoline's advanced synthetic blends and proprietary Dispersive Polymer Technology (DPT) have made Valvoline the only engine lubricant approved by Cummins for extended drain intervals (+5,000 miles), stated Valvoline.
The Fuel Proof Guarantee removes any financial risk from the product trial, according to Valvoline. If, at the end of the trial period, Valvoline lubricants aren't delivering the fuel economy improvement as promised in fleet test vehicles, Valvoline will refund the incremental cost of the oil changes.
The testing procedure, which uses a fleet's existing telematics unit or tiwiPro data transmission for verification purposes, is approved to meet the EPA SmartWaySM J1321 protocol, the company noted.
John Noal, vp-- International &Commercial Platforms for Valvoline, said, "The expansion of the Fuel Proof Guarantee program makes it accessible to more fleets and eliminates the need for redundant technology. Our risk-free trial eliminates financial barriers, allowing fleets to prove to themselves that our mpg claims are true.
“The addition of Brazos Specialty Risk and Mansfield Oil to the Fuel Proof Guarantee program is just one more way that Valvoline is demonstrating our commitment to the trucking industry and finding ways to help our customers achieve higher productivity and profitability," he added.
