Ford Motor Co.'s Transit Connect commercial van will be stepping out in a new kind of style in the cities of Chicago and Los Angeles as a taxi cab powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). Ford says Chicago's Taxi Medallion Management will put 12 CNG-powered Transit Connect taxis into service while two Los Angeles-area cab companies are ordering 120 of the same CNG-powered models. Ford points out that

Ford says Chicago's Taxi Medallion Management will put 12 CNG-powered Transit Connect taxis into service while two Los Angeles-area cab companies are ordering 120 of the same CNG-powered models. Ford points out that it has orders from companies in Connecticut, Nevada, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
