Maximus has announced it will be working with the city of Austin, TX to implement a fleet management software upgrade, adding the company’s FuelFocus automated fueling system (AFS) to the city’s fleet operations.
In addition, the city upgraded the FleetFocus software to a browser-based version to utilize wireless technology and provide easy access beyond Austin’s firewall, the company said. The city has over 10,000 employees, including 180 people working on the city’s fleet of 4,800 vehicles and rolling stock.
“With over 20 internal customers and about 10 different external customers, it’s critical that we manage every single detail around the maintenance and repair, replacement fund, and fueling for all of our City’s vehicles and equipment,” said Bruce Kilmer, business systems analyst supervisor, fleet services for the City of Austin. “We’re particularly excited to do this Maximus upgrade because it allows us to leverage a state-of-the-art operating system that will advance our operations and ensure our success for years to come.”
