Provider of digital map data Naveteq recently announced that the company is licensing its map data in a format that is optimized for use with MapServer and MapGuide Open Source through DM Solutions Group. According to Naveteq, DM Solutions converted Naveteq data for use on both platforms, resulting in the first off-the-shelf Naveteq solution for these technologies.

The company also announced that Innovative Systems, Inc. has selected Naveteq as the primary map data provider for its i/Lytics Global software solution. The combined offering is intended to dramatically improve address accuracy and street-level matching.

In a third announcement, Naveteq reported a new agreement with California-based Teletrac, Inc., a supplier of fleet management, navigation and vehicle diagnostic solutions. Teletrac will provide Naveteq map data and Naveteq Traffic for Teletrac's Fleet Director Turn-By-Turn navigation system.

In addition to utilizing Naveteq map data in their navigation products, Teletrac will also become a contributing supplier of GPS probe data for Naveteq 's exclusive use as a map data and traffic services supplier. The Teletrac real-time probe data feed is intended to extend Naveteq Traffic probe coverage in the U.S.
