Ford Fleet and Ford commercial truck customers will now have access to Telogis’ telematics platform for their vehicles, including real-time tire pressure and oil life data. Ford announced it will be integrating Telogis’ platform into its next generation of Crew Chief telematics systems.

Crew Chief is a real-time tracking system that includes vehicle location and trip information, vehicle and driver performance monitoring, and vehicle diagnostics.

“Telogis was the right choice for Ford because of their proven track record of success with current and potential Ford customers and the ability of their platform to further differentiate the Crew Chief offering,” said Bill Frykman, product development manager of Ford Connected Service Solutions.
Telogis’ system is provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for routing, mobility and telematics.

“Ford is the recognized leader in connected vehicles,” said Susan Heystee, executive vp of global sales for Telogis. “We are excited to partner with Ford to deliver this next-generation version of Crew Chief that takes full advantage of the Telogis platform.”

Crew Chief will be offered to all current and future Ford fleet customers with one year of service. It includes Ford Insight alerts and reports, including safety belt usage, water-in-diesel reports, miles per gallon usage, diagnostic trouble code decoding, tire pressure and air bag status.
