A new partnership between Glacier Computer and M3 Mobile will lead to the development of Glacier-branded handheld computers with all attributes of the company’s Everest Series of vehicle-mounted computers, said Glacier.

The deal calls for an initial co-branding of existing M3 Mobile products before transitioning to Glacier-only products. Technologies from both computers will be utilized in the line of rugged handheld computers.

“The M3 deal completes a very important phase of the strategy to broaden our product line,” said Ron D’Ambrosio, Glacier CEO. “With our expanded line of hardware options combined with industry solutions from alliance partners, our customers need only one stop for all of their rugged data collection needs.”

The M3 series of computers each weigh less than 12 ounces, have been drop-tested from five feet and come with a three-year warranty, the company noted.
